The Miami Marlins exercised former Cy Young Award winner Sandy Alcantara's $21 million club option for 2027 on Friday.
There was a $2 million buyout if the Marlins had opted not to bring back the 31-year-old right-hander.
Alcantara, 31, was 13-11 with a 3.87 ERA and three saves in 36 games (33 starts) in 2026, striking out 153 batters and walking 59 in 214 innings.
