With the holiday shopping season approaching, Constable Mark Herman is urging residents to take steps to protect packages from thieves.
Online shopping can make holiday buying more convenient, but deliveries left unattended may attract “porch pirates,” the constable’s office said. Residents are encouraged to stay alert and watch for suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
Herman’s office said it will share additional safety tips in the coming weeks to help prevent package theft. Anyone who sees suspicious activity should report it to law enforcement.
