Burgaw community to honor military service members at annual Veterans Day event

BURGAW, N.C. (WECT) – Burgaw will hold a public ceremony Wednesday, Nov. 11, to honor military veterans and their families.

The ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. at 115 S. Dickerson St. Organizers say the event will recognize the service and sacrifices of members of the armed forces and give younger generations an opportunity to reflect on military service.

The Daughters of the American Revolution, the local American Legion post, Burgaw Cub Scouts and the town of Burgaw are partnering to organize the event.

Community members of all ages are invited to attend.
