WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The Big Nosh returns to Wilmington for its fifth year, offering deli favorites and homemade dishes to benefit Temple of Israel.
Orders are being accepted through Nov. 25, the day before Thanksgiving. Food will be available for pickup from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Reibman Center on Market Street.
The menu includes corned beef, pastrami, pickles, babka, rugelach, black-and-white cookies, whitefish salad, matjes herring and seeded rye bread. Temple of Israel volunteers will also prepare potato knishes, vegan mushroom barley soup and noodle kugel.
Individual items cost $5 to $16, and a holiday gift bundle is available. Orders can be placed online or by mail to Temple of Israel, 922 Market St., Wilmington, NC 28401.
Customers who spend $150 on Big Nosh food items will be entered in a drawing for two tickets to either a Wilmington Symphony performance or the Temple of Israel Music Series. The drawing is Dec. 14.
Organizers say proceeds help support the temple’s operations and activities.
